Brownie Investiture Ceremony & Girls Earn Friends Are Fun Try-It at Last Meeting

At our meeting earlier this week, the girls of Brownie Troop 2082 took part in an Brownie Investiture Ceremony and were awarded their official Brownie pin. The pins were put on upside down. The new Brownies were asked to do 3 good deeds at home, just like the Magic Elf in the Brownie Tale, in order to turn their pin right-side up.
Later during the meeting, the girls earned their Try-It Friends Are Fun. (The leaders will hand out the badge at a later date.) As a troop we had a discussion on what is a friend, how a Brownie can make new friends, and how Brownies can make other girls feel welcomed and included. Later, the girls made a a friendship card and a friendship bracelet to give to a friend or close relative. And the girls worked individually on breaking an alphabet code. (The answer was -- "Make New Friends, But Keep the Old. One is Silver and the Other is Gold."
