Helping Hands Project & Meeting #2 Summary

We welcomed a new girl to the troop today - Sasha. We are now a troop of 15 girls.
We hope to have an investiture & Brownie Elf Ceremony with the new troop members soon.
.
Hope you enjoyed your daughter's gift today. Below are a few photos from today's arts & crafts session. As part of our meeting the girls made "Helping Hands" for family members. This arts & crafts activity was just one part of the girls working towards earning their All in the Family Try-it.
The girls also talked more about the voting process. At our last meeting, the troop voted on Try-its they wish to complete this year. Today, the troop voted on "Troop Rules."
Rules set were:
* Be Nice to Each & Every Brownie (Girl Scout)
* Listen to the leaders
* Respect others when talking and during activities
* Share with others when working with art supplies
* Wear Brownie Vest when in public & on field trips
* Try Your Best!
The Girls were told that as part of our regular Brownie Circle at each meeting they can suggest new Troop Rules. Talking and voting on Troop Rules helped the girls complete a component of the Citizen Near & Far Try-It. There are a few more components needed before they earn the Try-it.
The girls sang the Make New Friends and the Brownie Smile Song this afternoon.
We also talked about the upcoming Roller Skating event. The deadline to let a leader know you daughter will be attending is Tuesday, Oct. 14.
The 11 girls who attended the special Science Workshop on Sunday were given there Science In Action Try-It. today. Brownies, who earned the Games Around the World Try-It last year, were also given that badge today.
